Chérie Chouchou blossomed from two hearts—and one childhood dream. Agnes (the wife behind the stitches) had carried a quiet longing to sew since she was young, though life never gave her the chance… until now. With online tutorials as her teacher and determination as her thread, she began piecing together her first creations—each stitch healing that little girl’s unmet wish.
Funny enough, Agnes wasn’t even a scrunchie wearer before this! (“Too uncomfortable,” she’d say, preferring hair claws.) But that became her driving force: to craft scrunchies so gentle, even she’d love wearing them. When her French husband saw her creations, his eyes sparkled with ideas: “Could you make bow ties next? Maybe neckties too?” And just like that, a shared dream took shape.
What started as late-night sewing experiments in our living-room-turned-atelier grew into something deeper:
✧ A celebration of our Franco-Filipino roots through thoughtful design
✧ A commitment to sustainability—because beautiful things shouldn’t cost the earth
✧ A promise to keep learning, stitch by imperfect stitch
We’re still at the beginning, but oh, what joy there is in these small starts! Every scrunchie carries Agnes’ childhood dream, our cross-cultural love, and the hope that when you wear them, you’ll feel that care woven in.
Merci for being part of our unfolding story.
